How does counselling work?
Counselling is a very individual process and at the heart of how counselling works is the relationship between you and your therapist. Counselling often looks like talk therapy where you focus on your goals by processing what has happened in the past and what you are going through in the present to understand yourself more. Counselling can also be a place where you learn coping skills to learn how to deal with stressors and triggers in your life. Counselling can also be a place where you make decisions about your future with the guidance of a trained therapist. As your therapist I will not tell you what to do, but help you come to a decision that feels right for you.
