Clinical Supervision & Clinical Support

Hello! I’m Amy, and I’m glad you’re here. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor, I know firsthand that our growth as clinicians doesn’t happen in isolation. Just as we hold space for our clients to explore their depths, we also need a dedicated space to reflect on our work, navigate the complexities of the therapeutic relationship, and stay grounded in our professional values. This work is deeply personal, often heavy, and incredibly rewarding, but it isn’t meant to be done alone.

I offer clinical supervision and support for therapists who are looking for a collaborative, reflective environment. Whether you are navigating “stuckness” with a client or looking to build more confidence in your clinical identity, I’m here to walk alongside you.

My Approach to Supervision

My supervisory style mirrors my clinical philosophy: it is relational, trauma-informed, and deeply rooted in attachment and psychodynamic theories.

I believe that the “self-of-the-therapist” is our most important tool. In our sessions, we will beyond case management. We will also explore the relational dynamics at play in your sessions, the nuances of transference and countertransference, and how your own history and internal world intersect with your clinical work.

I strive to create a safe, non-hierarchical space where you can be honest about the challenges of this work. Whether you are feeling clinical “stuckness”, or the emotional weight of trauma, my goal is that you would supported by someone who understands the dual demands of being a therapist and contractor or business owner.

Areas of Clinical Focus

While I work with clinicians across a broad range of challenges, I provide specialized support in the areas where I have deep clinical training and experience:

  • Trauma & Complex Trauma (C-PTSD): Utilizing trauma-informed frameworks, trauma processing therapies (EMDR, OEI, Lifespan Integration Therapy) and embodiment-based perspectives, I specialize in working with complex, relational, based trauma including childhood, sexual abuse/assault, and domestic violence.
  • Eating Disorders & Body Image: I have worked with eating disorders at an in-patient treatment centre as well as in the public and private sectors. My approach is based on trauma-informed, Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating principles.
  • Relationship Conflict & Attachment: I approach relationship conflicts and struggles with my clients from a psychodynamic and attachment oriented perspective.
  • Anxiety & Perfectionism: I supporting clients (and therapists) in moving through self-criticism, imposter syndrome, and high-pressure cycles.
  • Children & Youth: The additional ethics around working with children and youth can be complicated. I support therapists in navigating the challenging ethics and boundaries that show up in working with children, youth, and their parents in private practice.
  • Clinical Burnout & Vicarious Trauma: A dedicated space to process the emotional toll of our work, helping you manage compassion fatigue and build a practice that honours your own capacity.

Clinical & Business Integration Consultation

I believe that for a practice to be truly sustainable, your clinical work and your business foundations must be in harmony. As the founder of Haven Wellness Collective, I understand the unique pressure of balancing high-level clinical care with the logistical demands of running a practice.

If you find that your clinical “stuckness” is intertwined with business overwhelm—such as navigating growth, setting sustainable fees, or managing shifts in your lifestyle with your practice, I offer a bridge between clinical support and Private Practice Consultation. We can work together to ensure your practice doesn’t just serve your clients, but also supports your nervous system and the life you want to lead.
